Job summary

Hand & Stone is seeking a Lead Massage Therapist Trainer to develop and standardize massage training across Broward spas while staying connected to the treatment room. This role emphasizes coaching, developing others, and applying leadership across our locations.

The position requires a current Florida massage license and 2+ years of experience; prior trainer or team-leader roles are preferred. Travel to Fort Myers quarterly is included.

Qualifications

• Current and active Florida Massage Therapist license is required.
• 2+ years of professional Massage Therapy experience preferred.
• Experience as a trainer, instructor, mentor, or team leader preferred.
• Strong understanding of protocols, service standards, and professional boundaries.
• Excellent communication, coaching, organization, and follow-through.

Responsibilities

• Lead hands-on new-hire Massage Therapist training across Broward locations.
• Deliver a consistent onboarding experience for new therapists.
• Reinforce protocols, service standards, professionalism and guest experience.
• Observe techniques and provide clear coaching and feedback.
• Assess therapist readiness before treatment-room transition.
• Communicate training progress to Spa Directors and leadership.
• Provide coaching to existing therapists as needed.
• Maintain training documentation and regular treatment-room availability.

Lead Massage Therapist Trainer

Help us develop great therapists and create one consistent standard across our spas.

As we transition to a centralized Massage Therapy training structure, Hand & Stone is seeking one Lead Massage Therapist Trainer to support the training and development of Massage Therapists across our Broward locations.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Massage Therapist who enjoys coaching, developing others, and taking on a leadership role while remaining connected to the treatment room.

What You’ll Do

• Lead hands-on new-hire Massage Therapist training across Broward locations
• Deliver a consistent, welcoming, and effective onboarding experience
• Reinforce Hand & Stone protocols, service standards, professionalism, and guest experience expectations
• Observe techniques and provide clear, constructive coaching and feedback
• Assess therapist readiness before transitioning into the treatment room
• Communicate training progress, strengths, and development needs to Spa Directors and leadership
• Provide additional coaching and skill development to existing Massage Therapists as needed
• Serve as a trusted training resource for therapists and spa leadership
• Maintain appropriate training documentation and follow-up
• Maintain regular treatment-room availability as part of your Massage Therapist schedule
• Travel to Fort Myers quarterly to support training consistency

What We’re Looking For

• Current and active Florida Massage Therapist license
• 2+ years of professional Massage Therapy experience preferred
• Previous experience as a trainer, instructor, mentor, or team leader preferred
• Strong understanding of Massage Therapy protocols, service standards, and professional boundaries
• Excellent communication, coaching, organization, and follow-through
• Ability to provide feedback while balancing encouragement and accountability
• Dependable, professional, and comfortable working independently
• Passion for helping other Massage Therapists grow and succeed

Schedule & Travel Requirements

This position requires flexibility to support new-hire training throughout the organization.

• Monday–Friday availability as needed for training
• Treatment-room availability on either Saturday or Sunday
• Ability to travel between all Broward Hand & Stone locations
• Quarterly travel to our Fort Myers location
• Reliable transportation required

Compensation

$20–$25 per hour + compensation per service discussed during interview
