Job summary

The University of California, Los Angeles seeks a Skilled Crafts and Trades Supervisor 1 to oversee the Masonry and Roofing Shops. You will supervise Lead Masons, Masons, Roofers, Facilities Mechanics and Workers, coordinate projects campus-wide and with Center for Health Sciences, review schedules, and assist Project Managers on multi-craft jobs.

• Supervise and coordinate Masonry and Roofing Shops staff, including hiring, discipline, evaluation, and termination.
• Write contracts (EDPA, PSA) and conduct job-site assessments and estimates.
• Coordinate schedules, outages, and multi-craft projects with Project Managers and clients.
• Ensure proper charging, project closeout, and timely completion of maintenance and tenant-improvement work.
• Back up the Supervisor, Paint and Sign Shops when needed.
