Job summary

The Regents of the University of California on behalf of their Los Angeles Campus seeks a skilled crafts supervisor to lead Mason and Roofing Shops across campus and health sciences projects. You will oversee staffing, safety, schedules, estimates, vendor coordination, and compliance with EDPA/PSA contracts while collaborating with Project Managers.

Responsibilities include hiring and performance evaluations, coordinating multi-craft work, and ensuring timely, within-budget completion of complex

Qualifications

• Evidence of leadership and supervision of skilled trades teams.
• Experience directing masonry and/or roofing projects and related codes.
• Ability to develop multi-craft estimates, work scopes, budgets and schedules.
• Experience coordinating with other trades and project managers.
• Strong written and verbal communication; able to prepare proposals and emails.
• Ability to manage personnel records and performance evaluations.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Mason and Roofing Shops and lead multi-craft project teams.
• Prepare and review project estimates, scopes, and schedules; coordinate outages.
• Hire, discipline, evaluate, and terminate staff as needed.
• Coordinate with clients and Project Managers to ensure on-time, on-budget completion.
• Write contracts (EDPA, PSA) and ensure proper project close and billing.
• Back up department supervisor when needed.
