Job summary

CAC I in Orlando, FL is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join our Optical and Photonics Systems Division, developing and manufacturing complex systems for military, space, and commercial use. You will lead fabrication process development, interface with design engineers for producibility, drive cost reduction, and supervise production staff to sustain yield, quality and cleanliness.

The position requires a Bachelor’s in ME/EE/OE or an equivalent, 8–10 years of related experience, Lean/Six

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in ME, EE or OE with 8+ years experience, or Associate's Degree with 10+ years experience in optics/manufacturing engineering.
• Knowledge of process control, cleanroom operation, and control for opto-mechanical/electro-optical assembly.
• Experience with DoD or Space programs; Lean/Six Sigma or similar process improvement methods.

Responsibilities

• Lead fabrication process development and documentation, ECOs, and production yield quality.
• Interface with design engineers to ensure hardware producibility and build strategies.
• Drive cost reduction and implement best process controls for top-quality products.
• Direct support personnel in daily manufacturing tasks.
• Propose ideas and translate concepts into tangible manufacturing results.
• Plan and support build/modification of electronics systems including procurement, tooling, and issue resolution.
