Job summary

CACI is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join our Optical and Photonics Systems Division in Orlando, FL. You will lead fabrication process development and coordinate with design engineers to ensure producibility and build-ready documentation.

This role focuses on cost reduction, process control, and high-quality production of complex opto-electro-mechanical assemblies for military, space, and commercial applications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in ME, EE, OE or related field or equivalent experience.
• Knowledge of process control and cleanroom protocols for opto-mechanical and electro-optical assemblies.
• Experience with DoD or Space programs and Lean Six Sigma.
• Excellent communication and teamwork; US citizenship with ability to obtain clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead fabrication process development, documentation, ECOs, process training and responsibility to maintain production yield, quality and cleanliness.
• Interfacing with design engineers to ensure hardware producibility and develop build strategies.
• Drive cost reduction and commit the best process control to make top quality products for customers.
• Directing support personnel in the day-to-day execution of the manufacturing tasks.
• Proposing or translating new ideas and concepts into tangible results of processes.
• Plan and support the build and modification of electronics systems including procurement support, assembly method/work instructions generation, tooling design support, material/process development, facilities/equipment planning, and resolution of manufacturing, quality and reliability issues.
