Job summary

Micro Facture in Lancaster, PA is seeking an experienced Lead Manufacturing Engineer to join our precision machining team. This on-site role drives complex projects from print review through process development, CNC programming, prove-out, production launch, and continuous improvement.

You will lead manufacturing engineering, optimize CNC programs (Mastercam), support 3- to 5-axis milling and turning, review GD&T, develop tooling and fixtures, mentor machinists, and collaborate with production

Qualifications

Experience leading manufacturing engineering for complex precision-machined components.
Strong CNC programming experience; Mastercam preferred.
Experience with complex, tight-tolerance components.
Strong multi-axis machining knowledge; 5-axis experience strongly preferred.
Strong understanding of GD&T, engineering drawings, tooling, and workholding.

Responsibilities

Lead manufacturing engineering and process development for complex precision-machined components.
Develop and optimize CNC programs using Mastercam.
Support 3-axis, 4-axis, 5-axis, CNC turning, and mill-turn manufacturing.
Review drawings, CAD models, tolerances, specifications, and GD&T.
Develop machining strategies, tooling, setups, fixtures, and workholding.
Mentor machinists and technical team members.
Identify opportunities for automation, tooling, equipment, and manufacturing technology.
