Job summary

Micro Facture in Lancaster, PA is seeking an experienced Lead Manufacturing Engineer to join our precision machining team. This on-site role drives complex projects from print review through process development, CNC programming, prove-out, production launch, and continuous improvement.

You will lead manufacturing engineering, optimize CNC programs (Mastercam), support 3- to 5-axis milling and turning, review GD&T, develop tooling and fixtures, mentor machinists, and collaborate with production

Qualifications

• Experience leading manufacturing engineering for complex precision-machined components.
• Strong CNC programming experience; Mastercam preferred.
• Experience with complex, tight-tolerance components.
• Strong multi-axis machining knowledge; 5-axis experience strongly preferred.
• Strong understanding of GD&T, engineering drawings, tooling, and workholding.

Responsibilities

Micro Facture is seeking an experiencedLead Manufacturing Engineerto join our precision manufacturing team in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.

We are anAS9100D / ISO 9001-certified, ITAR-registered precision machining companysupporting demanding applications across aerospace, defense, space, firearms, energy, and commercial industries.

This is a key technical role responsible for taking complex machining projects from print and model review through process development, CNC programming, prove-out, production launch, and continuous improvement.

What You'll Do

• Lead manufacturing engineering and process development for complex precision-machined components
• Develop and optimize CNC programs using Mastercam
• Support3-axis, 4-axis, 5-axis, CNC turning, and mill-turnmanufacturing
• Review drawings, CAD models, tolerances, specifications, and GD&T
• Develop machining strategies, tooling, setups, fixtures, and workholding
• Work directly with machinists during setup, prove-out, and production
• Troubleshoot machining, tooling, dimensional, and process issues
• Improve cycle times, setup times, tool life, repeatability, and efficiency
• Support quoting and manufacturability reviews
• Transition new work from prototype and first article into repeat production
• Establish and improve programming and manufacturing standards
• Support root-cause analysis and continuous improvement
• Identify opportunities for automation, tooling, equipment, and manufacturing technology
• Mentor machinists and technical team members

What We Are Looking For

• Strong experience inmanufacturing engineering and CNC machining
• Strong CNC programming experience;Mastercam preferred
• Experience with complex, tight-tolerance components
• Strong multi-axis machining knowledge;5-axis experience strongly preferred
• Strong understanding ofGD&T, engineering drawings, CAD models, tooling, and workholding
• Ability to develop a manufacturing process from print/model through production
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Experience improving cycle time, setup time, and production efficiency
• Ability to take ownership and work effectively with Production, Quality, and Leadership

Experience inaerospace, defense, space, or other high-precision manufacturing environmentsis highly valued.

Experience withaluminum, stainless steel, titanium, Inconel, and alloy steelsis a plus.
