Position Details:

1. Technical Center Resident Lead Manufacturing Engineer supporting North American manufacturing sites.
2. Lead the product development team through product and process selection, development, and improvement.
3. Coordinate cross-functional teams to execute successful launches of new products and programs.
4. Interface with quality engineering to develop and understand key product characteristics.
5. Guide the design and development of robust tools, equipment, and processes.
6. Support manufacturing system design workshops and document savings or improvements from the workshop.
7. Develop risk analysis and control strategies in PFMEAs.
8. Qualify, validate, and stabilize manufacturing processes.
9. Lead initiatives for product/process improvements.
10. Manage equipment and tooling spending timelines through capital forecasts.
11. Execute the engineering change process for product and process improvements.
12. Support North American plants in cost savings projects.
13. Business travel is mandatory to support North American sites, with 45-50% launch travel and 15-20% non-launch travel.

Position Requirements:

1. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
2. Proven leadership in leading cross-functional product development teams and process improvements.
3. Effective team collaboration skills.
4. Strong problem-solving skills.
5. Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project.
6. Self-motivated and able to manage multiple tasks in demanding situations.
7. Knowledge of PFMEAs.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Experience in automotive or industrial manufacturing engineering.
2. Knowledge of manufacturing processes and equipment.
3. Operational experience.
4. Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
