Job summary

Weidmann Electrical Technology, Inc. is seeking a Production Manager to lead the Converting department in Urbana, OH.

The role focuses on safety, quality, delivery, and productivity, while fostering a strong culture of employee development and continuous improvement. You will oversee 70+ employees, 18 machines, and evolving 24/7 operations, driving Lean initiatives, standard work, and cross‑functional collaboration with global teams.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in business administration, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or related field.
Green Belt Certification and proven experience in leading continuous improvement projects.
10+ years of progressive manufacturing leadership experience in 24/7, make-to-order manufacturing environment.
Experience leading in a matrix organization and across functions.

Responsibilities

Drives operational performance by improving productivity, quality, delivery, and cost in a make-to-order setting.
Builds high-performing teams through coaching and succession planning.
Promotes a safety-first culture and ensures compliance with regulatory and company standards.
Applies Lean principles to drive continuous improvement and waste elimination.
