Job summary

Galman Group in Reading, PA is seeking a Full-Time Lead Maintenance Technician to oversee daily maintenance of its apartment communities. The role requires organizing, supervising a maintenance team, performing routine repairs, make-readies, and ensuring common areas and units meet safety and quality standards.

You will follow company policies, comply with EPA/OSHA regulations, manage inventory, coordinate with the Property Manager, and respond to emergencies.

Qualifications

• Prior Maintenance Management Experience Required (vocational, technical, or trade education preferred)
• Ability to Work On-Call Shifts
• Experience Leading Maintenance Teams
• Owns Personal Tools & Reliable Vehicle (driver’s license required)
• HVAC Certification & Experience Preferred
• Plumbing Skills
• Electrical Skills
• Carpentry Skills
• Required to wear back support belt, wear goggles when working with specific equipment, wear masks and gloves and other safety equipment as tasks dictate.
• Understanding of computer systems, web applications and software
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced and customer service-oriented environment
• Performs duties under pressure and meets deadlines in a timely manner
• Works as part of a team
• High degree of flexibility with the ability to work independently
• Excellent organizational, presentation, interpersonal, written and oral communication skills

Responsibilities

• Conduct all business in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Must be knowledgeable of EPA and OSHA regulations governing proper storage and management of hazardous materials.
• Inspect property for unsafe conditions and take corrective action.
• Perform preventive maintenance on equipment and maintain tools.
• Manage and train Maintenance Technicians; coordinate with HR and management on performance.
• Handle on-call duties and coordinate snow removal and other safety tasks.
