Job summary

Gregory Packaging Inc. seeks a Maintenance Technician Lead to enhance plant reliability and efficiency through proactive maintenance strategies and hands-on leadership. The role emphasizes developer of PM programs, supervision of technicians, and collaboration with contractors.

The position requires strong troubleshooting, experience with automated equipment, and knowledge of Allen-Bradley PLCs, with a focus on safety and continuous improvement in a heavy manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

Experience with maintenance software setup and usage.
Ability to develop and implement preventive maintenance for automated equipment.
Strong troubleshooting skills for downtime reduction.
Knowledge of spare part inventory management and vendor coordination.
General mechanical shop skills (lathes, mills, drills, presses, gear tools).
Ability to perform basic programming/troubleshooting on PLCs (Allen Bradley).
Experience managing electrical and mechanical projects.

Responsibilities

Oversee and manage the maintenance program for plant equipment to ensure reliability.
Develop and improve preventative maintenance strategies for automated equipment.
Manage maintenance software to track activities and performance.
Lead and train plant maintenance teams and coordinate external contractors.
Monitor machine efficiency to maximize uptime and productivity.
Maintain spare parts inventory and vendor accounts for cost control.
Diagnose equipment failures and implement corrective actions.
Support electrical, automation, and hydraulic work as needed.
Communicate with plant staff and support audit readiness.
