Job summary

CAF Management is seeking a Lead Maintenance Technician to take ownership of apartment communities, lead a maintenance team, and supervise daily operations. You will oversee repairs, preventative maintenance, and service requests to keep properties safe and in top condition.

The role emphasizes leadership growth, mentoring the maintenance staff, and coordinating with property managers to align with community goals.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of hands-on maintenance experience in multifamily or related field.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, appliance repair, and carpentry.
• Ability to lead a team and work independently.
• Availability to work Saturdays (closed Sundays) and participate in on-call rotation.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Lead and perform daily maintenance operations including service requests, unit turns, and inspections.
• Troubleshoot and repair HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and appliance issues.
• Ensure the property meets safety, cleanliness, and curb appeal standards.
• Order and manage parts and supply inventory within budget.
• Train and support Assistant Maintenance Technicians.
• Coordinate vendor work and supervise contracted repairs.
• Participate in the on-call rotation and handle emergency maintenance situations.
• Communicate with the Property Manager to align maintenance efforts with community goals.
