Job summary
Barge Properties is seeking a dependable Lead Maintenance Technician to oversee daily maintenance operations at our Longview community. You will perform hands-on maintenance, coordinate preventative tasks, respond to resident requests, and ensure apartments are move-in ready.
The ideal candidate has strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and building maintenance, with HVAC certification and at least one year of experience.
Qualifications
- HVAC certification required with at least one year of HVAC experience.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and building maintenance.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Experience with maintenance management software is a plus.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily maintenance operations and support property upkeep.
- Perform preventative and routine maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, appliances, and structures.
- Diagnose and resolve maintenance issues quickly to minimize downtime.
- Be the on-site maintenance lead for trash outs and make-ready.
- Respond promptly to resident maintenance requests and ensure timely resolution.
- Maintain safety procedures, building codes, and regulatory compliance.
- Develop and maintain a preventative maintenance schedule to extend equipment life.
- Assist with unit turns to ensure move-in readiness.
- Maintain maintenance logs and work orders using maintenance software when applicable.
