Job summary

Barge Properties in Texas is seeking a dependable Lead Maintenance Technician to oversee daily maintenance operations and ensure a safe, functional, and well‑maintained community.

The ideal candidate will have strong building systems knowledge, at least one year of HVAC experience, and leadership skills to coordinate preventive maintenance and respond to resident requests. This is a full‑time, on‑site role with opportunities for growth and mobility.

Qualifications

• HVAC certification required with minimum of one year experience working with HVAC.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and general building maintenance.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve maintenance issues quickly and effectively.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily maintenance operations and support the overall upkeep of the property.
• Perform preventative and routine maintenance on HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical systems, appliances, and building structures.
• Diagnose and resolve maintenance issues efficiently to minimize downtime and disruption.
• Handle trash outs and make ready as the on-site maintenance person.
• Respond promptly to resident maintenance requests and ensure timely resolution.
• Maintain compliance with safety procedures, building codes, and regulations.
• Develop and maintain a preventative maintenance schedule to reduce future repairs.
• Assist with unit turns to ensure move-in readiness.
• Maintain maintenance logs and work orders in the system.
