Barge Properties is seeking a dependable Lead Maintenance Technician to oversee daily maintenance operations at our Tyler, TX community. You will perform hands-on repairs, coordinate preventative tasks, respond to resident service requests, and help ensure move-in ready homes.

The ideal candidate has extensive building systems knowledge, an EPA and HVAC certification, strong leadership and communication skills, and a track record of keeping operations safe and compliant.

Qualifications

• EPA and HVAC certification required.
• Strong knowledge of building systems and preventative maintenance.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Experience with maintenance management software preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily maintenance operations and support property upkeep.
• Perform preventative and routine maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, appliances, and structures.
• Diagnose and resolve issues to minimize downtime.
• Be the on-site maintenance lead for trash outs and move‑outs.
• Respond promptly to resident maintenance requests and coordinate timely resolutions.
• Maintain safety procedures and comply with codes and regulations.
• Maintain logs and work orders using maintenance management systems.
