Job summary

Bryten is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician Lead to support on-site maintenance at our Florida community. You will handle HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, carpentry, drywall, painting, and general maintenance, ensuring safe and attractive accommodations for residents and guests.

You will also assist with apartment make-readies, coordinate with the Maintenance Supervisor, and participate in after-hours emergency response while upholding OSHA safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or vocational training required.
• 1+ years of apartment/building maintenance experience preferred.
• HVAC certification and/or trade certifications in electrical/plumbing preferred.
• Ability to read diagrams and safety documentation.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Complete maintenance service requests across HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliances, carpentry, drywall, painting, and general maintenance.
• Assist with apartment make-ready and vacant unit preparation to company standards.
• Support Maintenance Supervisor with daily operations, prioritization, and team coordination.
• Troubleshoot and repair building systems and fixtures.
• Inspect apartments, common areas, and grounds for safety and maintenance needs.
• Assist with groundskeeping and consistency of community appearance.
• Maintain accurate work order documentation and coordinate with vendors/contractors.
• Be part of the on-call rotation for after-hours emergencies.
• Follow OSHA standards and company safety policies.
