Job summary

associacareers is seeking a Lead Maintenance Technician for a luxury high-rise condominium in Miami. You will lead a maintenance team, oversee preventive and corrective maintenance, and ensure safety, functionality, and premium service standards.

The role requires strong technical knowledge, leadership, and a customer-service mindset to support residents and guests while coordinating with the Maintenance Supervisor, Property Management, vendors, and contractors.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in building or facilities maintenance.
• Experience in luxury condominium/high-rise environments preferred.
• Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general building repairs.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Experience providing technical guidance or leadership to maintenance personnel.
• Ability to read equipment manuals and maintenance instructions.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple work orders and respond to emergencies.
• Ability to work independently while supporting a team.
• Basic computer skills and experience with electronic work-order systems.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily maintenance activities with the Maintenance Supervisor and vendors.
• Provide direction and technical guidance to Maintenance Technicians on assignments.
• Perform routine, preventive, and corrective maintenance throughout the property.
• Respond to work orders and emergencies with urgency and safety.
• Inspect common areas, systems, and equipment for maintenance needs.
• Troubleshoot and repair building systems within training and licensing constraints.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, and parts used.
• Lead by example to ensure safety and quality workmanship.
