Job summary
The Citadel in Charleston is seeking an Auxiliary Services Lead Maintenance Technician to support continuous operations of Dining Services and other Auxiliary Services facilities. You will perform and oversee complex building and equipment maintenance and repairs at Coward Hall, dining locations, and other campus facilities.
The role emphasizes maintenance of commercial kitchen equipment, laundry systems, and specialized machinery, with strong emphasis on safety and environmental compliance.
Qualifications
- High school diploma and related trades experience.
- Ability to read manuals, schematics, and service documentation.
- Experience with commercial kitchen, and industrial plant maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Perform facility and system maintenance and repairs.
- Identify repair needs, diagnose conditions, and schedule preventive maintenance.
- Inspect and repair equipment including commercial kitchen, laundry, and boat lift systems.
- Troubleshoot, maintain, adjust, and repair equipment and mechanical systems.
- Test, document, and ensure safe operation after repairs.
- Maintain records of inspections, PM schedules, and work orders.
- Coordinate with contractors and in-house trades; oversee scope of work.
