ESFM USA is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Richmond, VA. The role requires skilled maintenance work on electrical and mechanical systems, with field leadership and quality assurance responsibilities.

You will support training efforts, manage escalations, and oversee preventive maintenance activities in a facility environment. The position is full-time with on-site duties and an on-site on-call rotation.

Qualifications

• Four years of skilled trade school or maintenance vocational schooling.
• Five years of experience as a maintenance technician in an institutional setting.
• Two years of experience as a licensed Journeyman in the specialized trade.

Responsibilities

• Assist in decisions on repairs and report major problems to supervisor and foreman.
• Construct, install, maintain and repair electrical and mechanical systems in facilities.
• Inspect HVAC, electrical and mechanical building systems and related equipment.
• Supervise and lead a group of workers on a project.
• Read, comprehend and transmit complex instructions verbally and in writing.
• Teach advanced maintenance skills to department staff.
• Review work of outside vendors and create punch lists.
• Analyze and correct building system problems, alone or in teams.
• Maintain logs, perform rounds and complete work orders and inspections.
• Make recommendations for preventive maintenance improvements.
