Job summary

ESFM USA is seeking a full-time HVAC Maintenance Technician in Richmond, VA. The position supports facilities engineering, with responsibilities including preventative and reactive maintenance on HVAC, electrical, and mechanical systems.

The role requires a strong background in institutional maintenance, EPA ACR certification, and the ability to read blueprints. Monday–Friday 7:00 am–5:00 pm, with potential weekend or night shifts as needed.

Qualifications

• 5 years’ experience as a Maintenance Technician in an institutional setting in an engineering or maintenance discipline.
• Registered ACR Technician with EPA certification.
• Experience working with blueprints and schematics.
• Valid driver’s license.
• General understanding of electro-mechanical equipment.
• Rudimentary ability to utilize hand-operated construction equipment.

Responsibilities

• Performs a mixed workload of preventative maintenance and non-complex reactive repairs.
• Updates work statuses and documents tasks completed in the CMMS using a mobile device.
• Helps determine manpower, material needs, and deadlines for jobs and projects.
• Cleans, lubricates, services, repairs, and diagnoses malfunction of HVAC, electrical and mechanical building systems and related equipment.
• Assists in making decisions on all repairs and reports major problems to supervision.
• Constructs, finishes, installs, maintains, and repairs electrical and mechanical systems.
• Reviews outside vendor projects and creates punch lists.
• Analyzes and corrects complex building system problems.
• Responds to emergencies and performs repairs as needed.
• Maintains logs, rounds, and PM work orders.
