Job summary

Related Affordable seeks a Maintenance Technician Lead for Oaks on Lamar, a 176-unit affordable housing community in Austin, TX. You will guide technicians, manage repairs across plumbing, electrical, and HVAC, and uphold safety and quality across the property.

You will also coordinate daily operations, mentor staff, and collaborate with management to keep residents satisfied and the property well-maintained. This role is on-site and non-exempt, with opportunity for bonuses and benefits.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of maintenance experience with at least 1 year in a leadership role.
• Strong technical skills in HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, and electrical work.
• Affordable housing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in completing work orders by diagnosing issues and making repairs following safety standards.
• Oversee the make-ready process for vacant apartments, inspections, task lists, scheduling, and supplies.
• Develop and maintain cleanliness and appearance across the community including grounds and common spaces.
