CAF Management, LLC in Houston, TX seeks a Lead Maintenance Technician to manage daily maintenance operations across apartment communities, troubleshoot HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and appliance issues, and mentor the maintenance team to deliver safe, well‑maintained homes. This role leads by example, coordinates vendor work, participates in on‑call rotations, and aligns maintenance with community goals.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of hands-on maintenance experience in multifamily or related field.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, appliance repair, and carpentry.
• Ability to lead a team and work independently.
• Availability to work Saturdays (closed Sundays) and participate in on-call rotation.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Lead and perform daily maintenance operations including service requests, unit turns, and inspections
• Troubleshoot and repair HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and appliance issues
• Ensure the property meets safety, cleanliness, and curb appeal standards
• Order and manage parts and supply inventory within budget
• Train and support Assistant Maintenance Technicians
• Coordinate vendor work and supervise contracted repairs
• Participate in the on-call rotation and handle emergency maintenance situations
• Communicate with the Property Manager to align maintenance efforts with community goals
