Related Affordable is seeking a Maintenance Technician Lead for Oaks on Lamar, a 176-unit affordable housing community in Austin, TX. You will guide and mentor technicians, coordinate schedules, and oversee daily operations to keep buildings safe, functional, and aesthetically pleasing.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of maintenance experience, with at least 1 year in a lead role.
• HVAC, plumbing, carpentry and electrical skills.
• Affordable housing experience preferred.
• Lift up to 50 lbs.
• High school diploma; trade cert preferred.
• Weekend availability to meet property needs.
• On-call rotation for emergencies.
• Accountability and proactive problem-solving with teamwork.
• Open to feedback and continuous improvement.
• Teamwork and collaboration valued.
• Reliable, ethical and trustworthy.
• Bilingual Spanish is a plus.
• Appearance standards aligned with company.

Responsibilities

• Assist in completing work orders by diagnosing issues and performing repairs.
• Oversee make-ready process for vacant apartments.
• Maintain cleanliness and appearance of grounds and common areas.
• Supervise and coordinate maintenance staff.
• Develop and implement maintenance schedules.
• Conduct property inspections for safety compliance.
• Train and develop maintenance team members.
• Coordinate with Maintenance Supervisor on priorities and inventory.
• Participate in rotating on-call schedule for emergencies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
