Job summary

Description

Job Title: Lead Maintenance Technician

Location: Lincolnton, NC

Overview

We are seeking an Lead Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and experience in facilities maintenance, ensuring that all equipment and systems are operating efficiently. This role requires a proactive approach to troubleshooting and repairing various mechanical and electrical systems. As well as strong customer service skills and the ability to communicate effectively in English are essential for success in this position.

Essential Functions

Responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on machinery, equipment, and facilities.
  • Troubleshoot electrical systems by reading and interpreting schematics.
  • Fabricate components as needed to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance inspections to identify potential issues before they escalate.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests from other departments, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
  • Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems, lighting, and panels; maintain HVAC equipment; oversee plumbing systems.
  • Special Projects Supervision
  • Overseeing/Maintenance point of contact for equipment installations, refurbishments, on site vendor work
  • Follow preventive maintenance schedules; maintain compliance logs; identify and resolve potential issues proactively.
  • Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance schedules, and inventory of supplies.
  • Coordinate with outside vendors for specialized repairs; monitor quality and safety compliance.
  • Serve on on-call rotation to handle urgent after-hours maintenance issues such as power outages or leaks.
Requirements
Skills/Qualifications
  • Minimum of five years of responsible experience.
  • Proven experience in facilities maintenance or related field.
  • Facilities and Grounds Management Certificate Preferred.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues effectively.
  • Proficiency in electrical systems, including the ability to read schematics.
  • Excellent customer service skills with a focus on teamwork and collaboration.
  • Ability to communicate clearly in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • A strong commitment to safety practices within the workplace.

  • OSHA 10
  • LOTO Certification
  • Electrical Safety Training/NFPA 70E
  • Industrial Equipment Operation Certifications (Forklift, powered pallet jacks, ect)
