Job summary

Alsco Uniforms seeks a Lead Maintenance Technician to support the Chief Engineer in installing, maintaining and repairing industrial laundry equipment. This hands-on role emphasizes preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs, while guiding maintenance technicians and upholding safety practices.

The position is developmental with no formal supervisory authority, requiring reading blueprints, using CMMS, and collaborating with production and engineering to minimize downtime.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of maintenance experience in an industrial environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Certifications (e.g., boiler, electrical) may be required based on local regulations or facility needs.
• Strong working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and steam systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance (PM) and repairs on industrial laundry equipment, including washers, dryers, boilers, and related systems.
• Utilize a CMMS to document maintenance activities, track work performed, and support PM schedules.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and steam systems.
• Provide day-to-day guidance to maintenance technicians, including prioritizing work and coordinating workflow.
• Assist in onboarding and training of maintenance technicians, including demonstrating proper repair techniques and safe work practices.
