Job summary

RP Management Inc. is seeking a Lead Maintenance Technician to supervise on-site staff and perform general and specialized maintenance across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and appliances.

The role emphasizes timely completion of resident work orders and enforcing safety and cleanliness standards. The position requires HVAC certification and a valid driver’s license, with responsibilities including managing deferred maintenance, inspections, and a strong on-call schedule.

Qualifications

• HVAC certification required.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Residential maintenance experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and ensure compliance with deferred maintenance programs.
• Conduct periodic inspections of buildings and apartments for routine maintenance, including lighting, grounds, amenities and common areas.
• Order maintenance supplies with approval of Community Manager and maintain inventory.
• Ensure 24–48 hour turnaround on resident work orders.
• Schedule, coordinate, and perform technical maintenance and repair operations in turnovers (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, appliances).
• Maintain grounds daily.
• Maintain and participate in on-call emergency response schedule.
• Perform snow removal as required by policies.
• Attend daily meetings with the Community Manager to set priority work schedules.
• Train and develop on-site maintenance staff as needed.
• Maintain records of material usage, time, production, and other reports.
