Job summary

RP Management Inc. seeks a Maintenance Technician to handle non-technical building maintenance, prepare vacant units for occupancy, and process resident work orders. Duties include HVAC tasks, appliance repairs, and basic carpentry, drywall, and painting.

You will follow on-call rotations and snow removal duties. Requirements include 1 year of residential maintenance experience and a valid driver’s license; HVAC certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• 1 year experience as a residential maintenance technician
• Valid Driver's License Required
• HVAC Certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Preparing vacant apartments for occupancy
• Completing resident work order requests in a timely and proficient manner
• Assisting the Lead Maintenance Technician in inventory control
• Troubleshooting, installing, and repairing HVAC systems
• Replacing and/or repairing all apartment appliances
• Performing unit upgrades/rehabs (demo, framing, drywall, new cabinetry, countertops, flooring, doors, tubs, tile/surrounds, electrical fixtures, plumbing fixtures) and general carpentry
• Installing and repairing plumbing and electrical and performing general carpentry, drywall, and painting tasks
• On-call emergency response schedule
• Performing snow removal
• Maintaining equipment, storage, and work areas
• Informing Lead Maintenance Tech of maintenance and inventory needs
• Maintaining required records (material usage, time, production, reports)
• Communicating maintenance issues to Community Manager
• EPA certification record keeping
