Job summary

Venterra Realty in Lakeland, FL, is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support daily operations under the Maintenance Manager. You will handle repairs, preventative maintenance, and service requests while ensuring safety and quality standards, staying responsive to residents and overseeing vendor work.

You will help prepare apartments for new residents, lead by example, and participate in on-call rotation to maintain property standards and resident satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Experience in multifamily property maintenance or facilities management.
• HVAC certification required; CPO certification preferred.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including on-call rotation.

Responsibilities

• Complete resident work orders promptly with quality service and respect for 24/48-hour guarantees.
• Perform maintenance and repairs on HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, drywall, appliances, and exterior structures.
• Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance to keep equipment and common areas in top condition.
• Assist the Maintenance Manager in daily operations.
• Prepare vacant apartments for new residents by completing repairs, cleaning, and ensuring all features work per the Total Quality Make Ready program.
• Work independently while adhering to company standards and delivering resident-focused service.
• Provide emergency and on-call maintenance support as needed.
• Support the team with other duties to maintain property standards and resident satisfaction.
