The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, 1–3 years’ apartment maintenance experience, EPA HVAC certification, and the ability to lift 50+ lbs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–3 years apartment maintenance or related experience preferred.
• HVAC knowledge with EPA certification preferred.
• Plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, drywall and painting skills.
• Ability to use hand and power tools safely.
• Strong troubleshooting, customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in various weather conditions.
• Valid driver's license is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on apartments, common areas and grounds.
• Complete resident service requests promptly and professionally.
• Troubleshoot and repair HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliances and carpentry issues.
• Prepare vacant units for new residents (turnovers/make-readies).
• Conduct preventative maintenance inspections and maintain records.
• Maintain pools, fitness centers and other community amenities.
• Ensure safety standards and company policies are followed.
• Assist with emergency maintenance calls, including after-hours rotation.
• Maintain tools, equipment and maintenance shop organization.

Location: Lakeland, FL

Unit Count: 192

Salary: $24.00 per hour (Subject to adjustment for onsite living)

Position Summary

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performingroutine maintenance and repairs to ensure buildings, apartments, and common areas are in good working condition. This role involves responding to service requests, troubleshooting issues, completing repairs related to plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC, appliancesand ensuring the grounds are maintained in a safe, clean, and efficient manner. This role supports resident satisfaction by responding promptly to service requests.

Key Responsibilities
