Job summary

CJ Schwan's is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician for our Kentucky plant. You will lead preventive maintenance, diagnose mechanical issues, and perform repairs on conveyors and production machinery to keep operations running smoothly.

The role requires 5+ years in maintenance, strong mechanical knowledge, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs; evening shift differential applies. Full-time with a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required; two-year maintenance trade degree preferred.
5+ years in maintenance with experience in food manufacturing equipment preferred.
Strong mechanical knowledge with electrical understanding and basic building skills.

Responsibilities

Lead preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of conveyors and production machinery to keep plant operations running smoothly.
Execute major equipment repairs, fabrication, construction, and installation projects including welding to food-safe standards.
Diagnose mechanical issues via inspection, tools, and schematics; implement corrective actions.
Fabricate and maintain plant components such as guards, doors, shafts, and brackets using shop equipment.
Provide training to production teams on maintenance best practices to reduce downtime and ensure safety.
