Job summary

CJ Schwan's is hiring for a full-time maintenance role in a food manufacturing environment in Pasadena, TX. You will lead maintenance on conveyors and production equipment, perform repairs, and fabricate components to meet safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; 2-year degree preferred.
• 5+ years of related maintenance experience with machine shop knowledge.
• Experience with CNC, welding, and high-speed manufacturing equipment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of conveyor systems and production machinery to ensure continuous, efficient plant operations.
• Execute major equipment repairs, fabrication, construction, and installation projects, including welding to food-safe standards and precise mechanical assembly.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical issues through detailed inspection, use of precision measuring tools, and interpretation of mechanical schematics.
• Fabricate and maintain critical plant components such as guards, doors, steps, shafts, sprockets, and mounting brackets using lathes, metal sheers, benders, and welding equipment.
• Provide training and guidance to production teams on maintenance best practices to reduce downtime and ensure compliance with safety and operational protocols.
