Job summary

Colonial Group is seeking a Tech IV to provide advanced programming, troubleshooting, and maintenance for our VSC automated systems. You will lead and train other technicians, install and service PLCs, VFDs, HMIs, and related components while ensuring PMs and work orders are completed on schedule.

The role emphasizes continuous improvement and reliable operation of conveyors, cranes, and safety systems, with hands-on maintenance across multiple equipment types within our facility.

Qualifications

• 2 year degree in Electrical & Instrumentation or related field.
• Experience with PLC setup, programming and troubleshooting.
• Experience with VFD setup, installation and troubleshooting.
• Experience with HMI and SCADA systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced programming, troubleshooting, and improvement support for automated systems.
• Lead technicians, provide training and support to other staff.
• Install, PM, and repair advanced system components (PLC, VFDs, HMI etc.).
• Maintain and audit PMs and work orders for assigned departments.
• Engage in continuous improvement to sustain good working order.
