Job summary

Arconic Corporation in the United States is seeking a Maintenance Unit Supervisor responsible for leading a union crew, providing technical troubleshooting, and ensuring safe, reliable maintenance in a plant setting.

You will supervise Electrician and Mechanic union employees on 12-hour shifts, rotating days and nights, and you will drive root cause problem solving and plan/unplanned work, while prioritizing safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years hands-on maintenance experience.
• Minimum of 2 years supervisory experience with direct reports.
• Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Responsibilities

• Supervise mechanical crafts within Ingot Finishing department, acting as a resource for maintenance guidance to craft and other manufacturing personnel.
• Execute planned and unplanned work to meet department goals.
• Maintain a safe work environment and a workplace that causes no harm to people or the environment.
• Lead individual safety discussions and job-specific safety reviews.
• Support operating results through the management of your crew with emphasis on quantity, quality, timeliness, safety, recovery, and delivery performance.
• Ensure work is allocated fairly and clearly assigned to crew members; formulate and assign tasks prioritizing business criticality.
• Decide crewing arrangements for planned and unplanned situations based on absences, schedule requirements, equipment availability, and vacations within labor agreement guidelines.
• Work with craftspeople to apply root cause analysis and rapid problem-solving techniques to maintain or restore production.
• Seek cooperation from, persuade or influence others, and must develop relationships to resolve problems in sensitive interpersonal situations.
