Catholic Charities Brooklyn & Queens is seeking a Superintendent I to join the POP Management on-site maintenance team, overseeing up to 79 units in affordable housing across multiple buildings in Brooklyn and Queens. You will implement preventative maintenance, supervise staff, and ensure safety standards are met for tenants.

Responsibilities include basic plumbing, floor care, seasonal cleaning, and coordination with the Regional Property Manager to deliver high-quality housing and responsive

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED; may be waived with 5 years of relevant experience.
• FDNY S95 Certification due within first 6 months of employment.
• Willingness to travel to multiple locations in NYC boroughs.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of building maintenance for up to 79 units.
• Implement general and preventative maintenance programs.
• Perform cleaning and trash removal tasks as needed.
• Monitor supplies, tools, and equipment; manage inventory.
• Paint common areas and tenant apartments to maintain quality of life.
• Replace bulbs and ballasts; perform light plumbing tasks.
• Strip, wax, and buff floors; maintain cleanliness of premises.
• Oversee seasonal cleaning (leaves and snow).
• Supervise maintenance staff under Regional Property Manager.
