Job summary

Colonial Group is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to oversee maintenance staff responsible for daily upkeep of resort properties and equipment. You will assign duties, inspect work, and address complaints while ensuring safety and quality standards.

The role requires experience in electrical, HVAC, and plumbing repairs, plus leadership abilities to manage the maintenance team and coordinate with management. Overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED required.
• 2+ years of maintenance experience.
• Must be a reliable worker who can perform routine tasks without supervision.
• Strong attention to detail required.
• Customer service and public relations skills.
• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks with frequent interruptions.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Proven Leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the daily upkeep of the property, buildings, and common areas.
• Performs electrical, heating, and plumbing repairs, including Basic electrical ability, changing outlets, fixtures, and breakers.
• Basic HVAC knowledge of boilers and forced air furnaces.
• Basic plumbing, such as changing out faucets, re-piping, replacing toilets, replacing sinks, and unclogging drains.
• Assigns workers their duties and inspects work for conformance to prescribed standards.
• Investigate complaints about maintenance services and equipment and take corrective action.
• Conducts orientation training and in-service training to explain policies and work procedures and to demonstrate the use and maintenance of equipment.
• Performs maintenance duties in cases of emergency or staff shortage.
• Examines resort property to determine the need for repairs, replacement, or maintenance attention and makes recommendations to management.
• Issues supplies and equipment to workers.
• Ensure the property is clean, orderly, well-manicured, and always guest-ready.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Provides regular and reliable attendance.
• A valid driver's license may be required (dependent on the property).
