Job summary

RR Donnelley is seeking a 1st shift Maintenance Supervisor to oversee junior staff and assign maintenance tasks in a production environment. The role includes tracking costs, managing parts inventory, and ensuring quality standards for die cutters, presses, and other equipment.

Candidates should have 3–5+ years of hands-on machinery experience, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to interpret complex diagrams.

Qualifications

• 3 to 5+ years of hands-on experience maintaining and repairing production machinery in a manufacturing environment.
• Skill in installing, troubleshooting, repairing, overhauling, aligning, testing, and maintaining complex equipment and machinery.
• Advanced knowledge of equipment and machine control bodes to trace malfunctions and distinguish failures from electrical or electronic.
• Ability to interpret complex drawings, wiring diagrams, and manufacturer specs to isolate malfunctions.

Responsibilities

• Provide oversight of junior staff and audit work for accuracy.
• Assign maintenance tasks, monitor progress, and ensure timely completion.
• Track maintenance costs, manage parts inventory, and work orders efficiently.
• Install, repair, and maintain electrical lines, circuits, and equipment.
• Troubleshoot electrical/mechanical faults and repair equipment as needed.
• Maintain production equipment and repair machinery per specs.
• Update shift schedules and enter attendance as required.
• Coach and train junior mechanics and technicians.
