Job summary

S.L. Nusbaum Realty Co. is looking for a Maintenance Manager for our Avalon community in Greenville, SC.

This full-time position oversees general maintenance, preventive maintenance, and asset care to ensure residents live in a clean, safe, and well-maintained environment. You will supervise on-site maintenance staff, coordinate with outside contractors, manage inventory and purchases, and ensure safety with proper handling of hazardous materials.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and write English.
• Prior experience reflecting overall general mechanical aptitude.
• EPA Certificate for Freon Recovery; HVAC Certificate.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and participates on-site in general maintenance and repairs of the properties.
• Organizes turnover activities and preventive maintenance work; prioritizes work from work orders.
• Orders supplies and maintains an inventory of maintenance supplies.
• Oversees work by outside contractors and inspects all completed work.
• Trains subordinate staff and participates in contractor selection and scheduling.
• Issues purchase orders and processes invoices.
