Job summary

Carpenter Technology Corporation is seeking a skilled Maintenance Machinist to design, implement, and oversee cost‑effective machining processes from melt to ship. You will lead CNC programming, interpret complex blueprints, and mentor apprentices while maintaining a safe, efficient, and compliant manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• 10 years CNC programming and machine shop experience.
• Proficiency in technical math including algebra, trig, geometry.
• Proficiency in interpretation of complex blueprints and inspection/test equipment.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates advanced machine shop knowledge and leads CNC programming to produce parts to spec.
• Mentors CNC programmers and Apprentices in the apprenticeship program.
• Maintain safety standards, housekeeping, and safe operation of equipment.
• Coordinate with maintenance and production for tool requirements and job priorities.
• Review work orders, labor time estimates, materials, and project tools required.
