Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; vocational training or machinist apprenticeship preferred.
• Two or more years of experience as a machinist.
• Working knowledge of machine shop theory, procedures, and math.
• Familiarity with operating safety practices for equipment.
• Experience with multiple CNC/manual machines (Okuma, Kellenberger, DCM, Toyoda, Hurco, Mitsubishi, Okamoto, Jones and Shipman).
• CNC programming preferred and ability to work under supervision.

Responsibilities

• Capable of learning and operating several work centers safely with moderate supervision.
• Machining of test specimens and parts as instructed.
• Operate manual and CNC equipment such as lathes, milling machines, and grinders.
• Perform daily maintenance and cleaning of equipment.
• Report safety and quality concerns to supervision.
• Move to support business needs as required.
