Job summary

enGen seeks a Lead IT Infrastructure Engineer to own the design, implementation, and maintenance of critical mainframe systems. The role requires deep knowledge of z/OS, DB2, IMS, CICS, MQ, and related tools, plus mentoring responsibilities.

You will collaborate across IT, analytics and business teams, drive high-availability platforms, and lead complex projects in a dispersed data-center environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, computer engineering or related field.
• Experience designing, implementing and supporting mainframe systems.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills across teams.
• Willingness to work off-hours and on-call as needed.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, design, code, test and implement technical solutions with minimal defects.
• Collaborate with IT, product, analytics, and business teams to gather requirements.
• Monitor production schedule and report issues to leadership.
• Document processes and partake in reviews and knowledge sharing.
• Mentor associate and intermediate engineers; stay current with tech trends.
