Job summary

Westview Healthcare Center seeks an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) to provide direct nursing care to residents and supervise nursing assistants. The role emphasizes adherence to federal, state, and local standards, with oversight of daily nursing activities and quality of care.

You will collaborate with the Director of Nursing, participate in care planning, admit/discharge residents, and ensure accurate charting and reporting.

Qualifications

• Must possess Nursing Degree or be a graduate of an approved LPN/LVN program.
• Current, unencumbered active license to practice as an LPN/LVN in this state.
• CPR certification required.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English; participate in ongoing education.

Responsibilities

• Direct the day-to-day functions of the nursing assistants in accordance with rules and guidelines that govern the facility.
• Ensure nursing personnel comply with policies and procedures; review department manuals and job descriptions.
• Participate in discharge planning and coordinate with other departments to maintain resident care.
• Complete charting and documentation accurately; prepare and file required records at admission, transfer, and discharge.
• Provide nursing care duties per physician orders, including medication administration and patient assessments; supervise and mentor nursing staff.
