Job summary

University Care Center in is seeking an experienced LPN/LVN to serve as a nurse supervisor, directing daily nursing activities and monitoring compliance with policies. The role requires leadership of nursing staff and ensuring high-quality resident care in a long-term care facility.

The ideal candidate will possess an active LPN/LVN license in California, a nursing degree or equivalent, CPR certification, and strong supervisory abilities.

Qualifications

• Must have a Nursing Degree or be a graduate of an approved LPN/LVN program.
• Must possess a current, unencumbered license to practice as an LPN/LVN in the state.
• Must be able to read, write, and understand English.
• Leadership and supervisory ability required; experience with nursing staff supervision preferred.
• Current CPR certification knowledge is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct the day-to-day functions of the nursing assistants in accordance with rules and guidelines.
• Ensure Nursing Service policies and procedures are followed by all staff.
• Plan shifts, services, programs, and activities for the unit.
• Maintain Nursing Service Procedures Manual and ensure its use.
• Complete and review required nursing documentation and reports.
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure residents receive comprehensive care.
• Provide leadership during resident admissions, transfers, and discharges.
• Oversee medication administration and ensure safety and accuracy.
