Job summary

Kennedy Care Center is seeking a Nursing Supervisor to direct daily nursing assistant activities in a long-term care setting. You will ensure compliance with policies, coordinate shifts, and oversee care plans and discharge planning.

You will supervise staff, review procedures, and maintain accurate medical records while coordinating with physicians and the nursing team to deliver high-quality resident care.

Responsibilities

• Direct the day to day functions of the nursing assistants in accordance with current rules, regulations, and guidelines that govern the long term care facility.
• Review and revise department policies and procedures as needed to reflect day to day nursing activities.
• Plan shifts, services, programs, and activities with staff and support personnel.
• Maintain Nursing Service Procedures Manual and ensure compliance by nursing staff.
• Assist in discharge planning and coordination of resident care.
• Prepare and administer medications as ordered by physicians and monitor nursing records.
• Oversee performance evaluations and staffing requirements for the unit/shift.
• Ensure documentation accuracy in resident charts and medical records.
