SOUTHHERITAGE in is seeking a Cook to manage and operate the kitchen in the absence of the Dietary Supervisor. The role reports to the Dietary Supervisor and offers a pay rate of $16.00 per hour.

You will maintain a safe, clean kitchen, follow menus, prepare large quantities, and supervise dietary staff as needed. A high school diploma and at least one year of hospital or long-term care cooking experience are required; ServSafe certification is preferred.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• At least 1 year of cook experience in a hospital or long-term care facility.
• Ability to read and follow technical procedures and recipes.
• Ability to present information clearly to managers and staff.
• Knowledge of fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions for recipes.

Aufgaben

• Maintain kitchen and cooking area in a safe, orderly, clean and sanitary manner.
• Prepare tasteful meals and cook a variety of foods in large quantities.
• Follow prepared menus and portion control guides.
• Record food temperatures for meals.
• Assist with serving the different meals.
• Supervise dietary staff in absence of the Dietary Supervisor.
