Job summary

Healthcare and Rehab of Sanford is seeking a cook to operate the kitchen in the absence of the Dietary Supervisor. You will prepare meals, follow menus, and supervise dietary staff as needed in a hospital/long-term care setting.

Responsibilities include maintaining sanitation, recording food temperatures, preparing pureed foods, and assisting with meal service while ensuring portion control and consistency across large quantities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 1 year of cook experience in a hospital or long-term care facility.
• ServSafe certificate required or must obtain.
• Ability to read technical procedures and follow recipes.

Responsibilities

• Manage and operate the kitchen in the absence of the Dietary Supervisor.
• Prepare meals in large quantities and follow menus with portion control.
• Maintain safe, orderly, clean, and sanitary kitchen area.
• Record food temperatures and prepare pureed foods as needed.
