Job summary

Apploi is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to provide direct nursing care to residents and supervise nursing assistants. The role requires adherence to federal, state and local guidelines and strong leadership of the unit during shifts.

Responsibilities include charting, medication administration, and collaboration with physicians and other departments to maintain high-quality care for residents.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Must be able to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
• Experience in Long Term Care is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct the day-to-day functions of the nursing assistants and plan shift services and activities.
• Complete and file admission/discharge/transfer records and chart nursing notes.
• Prepare and administer medications as ordered by the physician.
• Develop and maintain a positive rapport with inter-departmental staff to ensure quality nursing care.
• Perform professional nursing duties such as catheterization, dressings, blood draws, and other tasks as required.
• Monitor staff to ensure compliance with safety regulations in equipment use.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident care information and ensure privacy.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
