Job summary

Mission Point Health Care is seeking an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse to provide comprehensive nursing care in a long-term care setting. You will assess residents, develop care plans, and coordinate with physicians and unit managers to ensure quality care.

You will perform rounds, administer medications, manage wounds and IV therapies, and document care activities. The role requires strong communication, adherence to regulations, and teamwork with CNAs and other staff.

Qualifications

• Must possess a current Michigan license as a licensed practical nurse.
• CPR certification required.
• Two years of professional nursing experience in the long-term care setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess resident conditions and develop care plans with physicians and team.
• Perform rounds and observe symptoms, reactions, and adjust interventions as needed.
• Administer medications and monitor for contraindications and adverse effects.
• Provide wound care, IV therapy, catheter care, and tube feeds.
• Coordinate scheduling of physicians, therapy, and consults and document in records.
• Supervise CNAs and assist with resident daily care and mobility.
• Maintain regulatory compliance and prepare for inspections and surveys.
