Job summary

VICARS LANDING is seeking a qualified nurse to provide direct resident care at our Sawgrass, FL facility and to supervise day‑to‑day nursing activities performed by nursing assistants. You will ensure care aligns with Federal, State, and local standards and policies under the direction of the Director of Nursing.

The role requires a Florida RN or LPN license, strong leadership, and the ability to perform routine charting and medication administration within regulatory guidelines.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid and current Florida RN or LPN license.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct resident care according to established standards of care.
• Assume charge position, direct nursing assistants, ensure nursing service policies are used.
• Perform routine charting duties as required and in accordance with charting policies.
• Order prescribed medications from the pharmacy and administer as ordered by the physician following guidelines.
• Identify problems and implement changes to improve nursing care; inform DON of staffing needs.
• Make rounds with physicians and inform nursing staff of admissions, discharges, transfers, and condition changes.
• Participate in infection control and quality assurance programs.
• Maintain stock level of medications and supplies on the unit.
• Develop and update resident care plans; inform CNAs of goals and approaches.
• Ensure residents' rights are upheld by nursing staff.
