Job summary

Place Services, Inc. in Jackson, MS seeks a Lead Low Voltage Technician to lead structured cabling installs for commercial projects, including Category 6/6A, fiber, data center work, and testing/certification.

You will install access control, video surveillance, intrusion, and fire alarm devices, manage a crew of up to five technicians on site, and coordinate with the project manager to keep on schedule. Candidates should have knowledge of industry standards (BICSI, NICET, NEC, TIA/EIA),

Qualifications

• Experience with structured cabling and end-device installation on large construction sites.
• OSHA-30 card required; manufacturer's certifications are a plus.
• Ability to work under supervision with a Project Manager and/or Superintendent.

Responsibilities

• Install Structured Cabling Systems (Cat-6/6A, fiber) and perform testing and cabling certification.
• Install and connect Access Control, Video Surveillance, Intrusion, and Fire Alarm devices; assist with system startup.
• Manage a crew of up to five technicians and installers on typical projects.
• Coordinate with the on-site project manager and superintendent on assignments.
