Job summary

Gigantes Group, a growing engineering consulting firm, seeks a Senior Low Voltage Designer to lead design and consulting services for IT, communications, security, audio-visual, and structured cabling systems on new builds, upgrades, and renovations.

The role emphasizes preparing construction documents, managing design phases, and providing construction administration, with PE or RCDD credentials valued.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in low voltage or electrical systems design and consulting.
• RCDD or equivalent certification preferred.
• PE license or eligibility to obtain one is a plus.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, and Microsoft Office tools.
• Experience working within architectural and engineering project environments.
• Strong self-management and team collaboration skills.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
• Active engagement in relevant industry associations is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead low voltage system designs from concept through construction.
• Evaluate system options and develop solutions aligned with project scope and goals.
• Design and layout systems including load calculations, equipment selection, schematics, and schedules.
• Prepare detailed drawings, CSI-format specifications, and technical documentation for bidding and construction.
• Perform system analyses, studies, and cost estimates.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, clients, and contractors throughout project lifecycle.
• Participate in construction administration, including site visits and technical reviews.
• Help manage project budgets and internal resources.
• Provide mentorship to junior engineers and designers on the team.
